We attended our first Cruise experience on Carnival Victory for our Honey moon in December of 05'. The ship itself is impressive and beautiful inside. The Excursions you can purchase on board the ship sounded appealing but were way too expensive for us. We took a tip from a couple who dined with us to purchase our excursions off shore and were very pleased with the results. Dinners were lovely, the food was in small portions, but as our humorous waiter pointed out-- we were free to order as MANY entrees/appetizers/deserts as we would like. The waiter knew us all by names and was the real entertainment at night.

The cook in the dinning room- made a special menu for my husband who has a shellfish allergy. (and it wasn't lacking in taste)

With the length of the cruise, (7 days) we grew idle of exploring the ship. The shows weren't the Broadway productions I was hopping for. More like comedy stand-up hour and advertisements for onshore excursions. We also found the atmosphere a little too rowdy for our tastes. There were many children activities which would make it a great family friendly cruise. But poolside there were more young adults and teenagers partying and drinking the day away than family's trying to enjoy the pool. PARENTS, if this is a concern for you, keep an eye on your teenagers. I do not think that they card for minors. There was also loud rock music blaring by the pool on the Ledo deck.

All in all, lovely experience. Just not the right cruise for us honeymooners if we could have done it over again. I will go back, however when I have a family.
