I insure 6 classic bikes with Footman James with a total value of more than £250000. Dealing with Footman James is a total nightmare. I dread the battle of renewing my policy each year; it normally entails 3 or 4 expensive 0845 telephone calls and 5 to 7 letters - simply because they make so many administrative errors. Additionally, their prices increase year by year by far more than I consider reasonable. I have just bought 1 more bike and found the best deal was through Peter D James Ltd (the guy who originally set up Footman James!) http://www.peterjamesinsurance.co.uk/
