As the name suggests, "My Single Friend" manages to get round the billy-no-mates stigma of on-line dating and is thus very open and relaxed. I was typiclly sceptical at first but had a reasonable reponse, then things trailed off a bit, then just as I was about to bin it thngs picked up again and I'm now officially off the market (and very happy!).
There are the inevitable "professionally single" people, but these are very much the minority and easy to spot, so as long as you're willing to do a bit of leg work (I sent well over 50 ice-breaker emails in my first week) there are some highly eligible people out there, also on the look-out, with no hidden agenda.
The site itself is dead easy to use (but needs good quality high-res photos if you're including them in your profile) and not that expensive either with no high-pressure sell or relentless junk email.
And when I terminated my account I got a simple "Thanks, we're pleased it worked out for you"
