Orange are asolutely useless!!! my mum got a contract from Phones4U on Orange. since the first day-no network coverage, although a phone my o2 has full coverage inside and outside the house. with the Orange phone still no coverage and it has been 1.5 weeks. we both spoke to several people in Orange as well as Phones4U and keep being pushed around between the two!I spoke to Ofcom and was given ref. number. Ofcom said although mum got the phone from third party-it's a network issue and ORANGE need to sort it. Customer service in both absolutely appalling. Orange refuse to deal with this and keep coming up with "unforseen circumstances" - one week they have planned maintenance and the next a mast broke.my mum was told by Orange that mobile phone is called 'mobile' for a reason, and is not meant to work at home and she should use a landline. they called the phone number which that phone came with, but it did not work - just a text message arrived saying which number tried to call. My mum told the woman on the other end of the phone that it just sends a text and said she will complain if this is not solved, and that we have her number now. the woman said suddenly it was not her number and she did not call, although previously she confirmed she did.she said to my mum that we can do whaever we want, but Orange will not cancel the contarct unless she pays the whole line rental for 18 months. VERY RUDE!!!! i would strongly discourage anyone buying a phone on Orange, because they are just there for the money (hence merging with T-Mobile) and not the customers. My mum's issue has still not been resolved and she was told the only way to cancel is to pay 18 months worth of line rental upfront. That's approx £700!!! we already spent lots of money calling them and taking time off work.

My mum and I will NEVER in the forseeable future take out an Orange contract again! Steer well clear of that network if you do not wish to be in our situation.
