astraea's Review of Haven Holidays, Haggerston Castle
16th Oct 2009
Overall Rating
- Value for money

It was a year ago almost to the day that we went to this filthy black hole laughingly referred to as a 5 Star park.( look back to last October and see my review ) I have had a morbid interest since our nightmare in the reviews of others who have sampled the 'delights' of this dump and read the mostly sad, disappointed and quite frankly angry reports from others like ourselves. well, it certainly hasn't changed at all has it...!!!!
Oh how the memories come back.........half a fried egg in the fryng pan, greasy, dirty crockery and utensils, wee stained seats/ beds/carpets, filthy fridge...infact filthy EVERYTHING. Hardly any curtains and the curtains we did have were hanging up in their own muck and stuck to the windows with mould.
Anyone else get food poisoning yet from the onsite fish and chip shop like we did....? Honestly, unless you are either Waynetta Slob and family or very lucky and get a decent caravan which believe you me you will need to compensate for the crappiness of the rest of the place.....don't waste your money and dignity going here. I'm not a snob or a moaning you know what, just angry that people are still going here with high hopes and still getting ripped off and having a rotten time.PLEASE DO NOT GO TO HAGGERSTON HOLE. I wish I had thought of checking for reviews before we booked a stay here.I have given this dump a one star rating not through generosity, but because there isn't a NO star option.

Centre Parcs say that is was due to refurbishment, I beleive it was due to labour costs at this quiet time of the year. Albeit still great choice in the eating department.
