I ordered a new Mazda MX5. It was two weeks late and I was also informed that the dealers had put the price up since I had ordered (by £800) and that I would have to pay another £300. Buyacar would take the hit on the rest and they would, consequently, not be making any money out of purchase. And I believe them. But it was still very reasonably priced so i went ahead. Personally, I think someone may have got the prices wrong at some stage between the different models (as opposed to the dealers increase reason). Whatever the reason, I do beleive buyacar took a substantial hit in their margin on the deal. The car was delivered on a truck, rather than driven from the dealer, and the delivery guy from the dealer (self-employed fella) seemed to care more and be more excited than I was. The car was perfect. The customer contact etc was just right and the whole process (including the Part Ex) was straightforward. Only niggle is that the car arrived without the Manual!
