I have had mine since new. It has only just done 15000 as I work shifts and only use it when I'm starting early or finishing late. I have only just had new pads fitted although a year or so ago both front suspension seals went and another 6 months later I had to have one of them replaced again. As others have said the gearchange can be a bit iffy at times and sometimes missing gear but I found that my gearchange pedal was moving on the shaft (it had been since new but only comparing with two work colleagues who have the same model made me realise it was only mine) and couldn't be tightened anymore so have just had a replacement fitted and it is much better now. The performance is very good and even though I used to swear by the Townmates I have owned this is a much better ride and almost as econmical (although this gives around 200 miles between refills against 100 for the Townmate). I have had the rear suspension off to paint it with anti-rust paint as it was starting to get rusty as does some of the chrome but so long as you treat it regularly this keeps the rust at bay. I have conventional ignition (the new ones have electronic) and this has largely been ok but just lately the engine cuts out occasionally but either pickes up again before the bike stops or after having turned it off and on again, despite being checked by my local service agent nothing can be found - if anyone else has had this problem I'd be pleased to hear what the solution was. But all in all the bike has been extremely reliable, economical and get me all over the place in relative comfort and reasonable time. Having seen the new Custom 125 I'd recommend it as there are several refinements that my model doesn't have.
