MY 8 year old Westie with impeccable teeth had a absess in his upper jaw. The vet said it was on top of the back molar and so it had to come out, as there was no other way of getting rid of the absess other that taking out the tooth and draining it away he had to go under the knife. If we had left it it can eat away at the bone in the face. Tesco refuse to even look at the claim as its a tooth mentioned in the calim so they wont cover teeth, they wont listen to me or the vet but I am still fighting my corner.
Basically if your dog has a tumour in his face and they remove it via a TOOTH then they wont pay.
