I shoot competitively with real pistols, so I bought one of these so I could practice in my backyard. The pistol is a replica of a colt 1911 pistol, but shoots double action(unlike the colt), which means that it cocks its own hammer. The trigger is much longer than the real thing and very heavy. The pistol is a pain to load but worth it to shoot. It is a great first gun and is very inexpensive. I am thinking of setting up a shooting gallery for kids in my neighborhood with it.
