Following an issue with my BT phone number, I received a call from "a BT wholesaler" claiming BT passed my details to them to resolve and they will provide a new phone number for free. I therefore proceeded thinking it was part of the resolution to my issue and that they were part of BT (I did not then know a BT wholesaler means a different and unrelated company to BT). I then received a cancellation fee from BT for my account, and when phoning them to query this they stated 5G were not part of any support issue nor would BT give them my details. I therefore cancelled my 5G contract within 7 days. Unfortunately BT had a second transfer request and issued another final demand bill so I had to cancel it again! During this period 5G actually did manage to get control of my line for a 30 day period without me knowing.

They also tried to take control of my broadband without me knowing and lied to my provider claiming they were me, but got foiled when they couldn't give my security password thankfully. Luckily my internet provider Eclipse were not as easy to release my account as BT and checked with me first.

They deceived me into moving to them, then tried as hard as they could not to let me go and did manage to charge me for a 30 day period.
