- Value for money

I am 46 years old and have always had inverted nipples. I dislike them very much and like many women with this problem, keep my breasts out of site in locker rooms, dressing areas, saunas, etc. I have been researching inverted nipples for the past few months and concluded that I am a grade 1 though my left nipple is more inverted than my right. I have thought of everything to correct this from surgery to piercing and came across the Avent Nipplet at a local pharmacy about 2 months ago. It was $43 and I felt that was too expensive without knowing if it would work (not to mention that I was totally skeptical) so since then I've been surfing the internet to find reviews on it to see if it would be worth the money to try. A lot of good reviews but I finally decided to buy it because it's a better option to try first before surgery or piercing. I finally bought the Nipplet 3 days ago with lots of skepticism, but felt what the heck, lets give it a try. I wore it the first day and it fell off a few times but after putting a bit of lubricant on my nipples as the instructions state (I am using KY gel), they really stay on. The second day I didnt use them but slept with them on all night since they recommend 8 hours of use per day. And today, the third day I left them on under a padded bra and went about my day. When I got home I took them off to give my nipples a rest and I could not believe how beautiful and totally perky my nipples were. I am totally serious. If there was a way to post a picture here I would. My nipples stayed erect for about 3 hours and then they started to return slowly to some inversion but not like before. I'm thinking that if this is just day three, I will probably have great results (hopefully permanent) in the next few weeks. (Keeping fingers crossed). The Nipplet has not caused any pain or discomfort. In fact, today while I went about my day I mostly forgot I had them on at all. The only reason why I've given a four star rating is because I've only used it 3 days and I dont know yet if I will achieve a permanent result with this. So far I am amazed at the results and feel very hopeful. If I achieve permanent results, I will change to 10 stars! I have done extensive research on inverted nipples in the past weeks and I'm not sure this product will help women with stage 2 or 3 inversion. Either way, I would try it. If it works for you it will give you a real boost in your self-esteem. If it doesnt, at least you'll only be out about $50 tops. Surgery is far more expensive, there's no guarantee it work either and far more health risks. I hope this product keeps working for me and good luck to all you who might try it. I will post an updated review in 2 months. By the way, for those women who have inverted nipples and want to breastfeed, I breastfed all of my 3 children, my last until she was three, so just because you have inverted nipples does not mean you cannot nurse your child. Just get a good lactation consultant and they will help your baby latch on and draw your nipple out. I tried this product for cosmetic reasons.
