The adventures of Edmund Blackadder and his trusty but lacking brain cells sidekick Baldrick littered British television screens for years. Now, thanks to this DVD collection, the early writing of Ben Elton, Richard Curtis and Rowan Atkinson can be preserved forever.

Blackadder, who brought previously unknown faces such as Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry into the limelight, was ridiculed by some but remained immensly popular. All these years later, the jokes are still good and the physical comedy gets more than a chuckle. All in all, a good watch for old and new generations alike.

The complete collection, showing all Blackadder's traipses through various time periods, would be a great addition to any comedy collection.
