I am a Esporta member and recently joined signing the contract for cheaper membership fees for a 24 month period. What I was told and given were 2 contracts one with how to cancel which basically stated that if you move out of area within 9 months you could give three months notice as long as there wasnt another esporta in your new location. I did'nt intend to move out of area but a job opportunity came up within the nine month period with Esporta so I gave my three month notice. They never let me know that my cancellation had been rejected so I went ahead and cancelled my dirct debit with them. I have since found out that the contract that they have is for the whole 24 months and there is no cancellation period as it is a reduced membership fee. And to top things off when I moved I have misplaced my copy of the membership contract so I have no evidence to show that What I signed did have the 9 months opportunuity to cancel if you moved out of area.
To be fair it was stupid thing to sign up for such a lengthy period in the first place, but I had no intention at the time of moveing and if I did I could at leat cancel within the first 9 months. I have been hasseled by phone calls about 8 in 1 week, and I feel frustrated with them and myself for having joined in the first place.
What ever you do dont become a member!!!!
