- Have you made a claim?Yes
I insured my 3 year old boxer with E&L because my premium had gone up quite a lot with Virgin insurance (who I never made a claim with). At the age of 4 Charlie was diagnosed with heart disease. It is very serious and is costing a great deal of money in treatment and ongoing drugs. E&L seemed helpful at first when I checked if I was covered for him to see a specialist. However, each time we claim it takes at least 3 months and numerous unhelpful phone calls and emails before we get the cheques. This company are cheap but they are certainly not cheerful. If you want peace of mind with your pet insurance go elsewhere. And ask advice at your vets because once we said who we were with the vets told us it was common to have these problems.
