REVIEW OF DESIGNER LIVING WWW.DESIGNERLIVING.EU We attended Grand Designs last year (2008) in Birmingham NEC. We chose the suite we wanted and were told that interest free credit was available, we were told the suite would be with us before Christmas. We also ordered a footstool. On delivery (just days before the delivery deadline) there was no footstool. The two guys doing the delivery were not at all surprised by this - it seemed to be a typical experience for them. To this day we have never received the footstool and only got a partial refund for it. We made endless phone calls and as is typical of many experiences on here, we could never get through to who we needed to talk to. On a plus note, we do absolutely love the suite, it's gorgeous, comfortable and very well made but that isn't enough - we will never shop with the company again and would recommend that no one else does. Your experience could be better but it could be so much worse. On the subject of the interest free credit above, apparantly, they had never arranged it and we had to pay on delivery which meant that we had to get an interest free credit card. This company seem not to give a damn about their customers. I was back at Grand Designs this year (2009) and stood around the stand watching for a while. Any customer I saw that I thought was falling for the sales patter I'd wander over to and warn them. They were very grateful and appreciated that I told them what I thought. I hope my actions saved a few people an awful lot of grief. If you buy from this company you now know what you are letting yourselves in for. They will cause you big problems. It really is a stress you do not need. This company do not care! (written 12/10/09)
