I want to tell you about several "HUGE" disappointments I experienced while i was on vacation. I booked using european destinations since u were recommended by a friend however I had a totally different experience than he did.
First of all the Regence Hotel in Nice France had a horrible stench in the room then to compound matters the shower stall kept overflowing which i reported to the desk and was told that I would have to wait till the morning to have it cleaned up since there was no one in the hotel but the person at the desk. My daughter fell due to the negligence of the shower overflow which I then reported as well and was told for the second time that there was nothing he could do about the shower. Then one evening we went out only to return to a locked front door which obviously we could not get in. The person at the desk after 10 minutes of waiting informed us that he had to use the lavatory and no one was on site to cover the desk. So my daughter and i were locked out of the hotel till he returned. I realize that this was a 2 star hotel but this type of service, if u can call it that, is unconsciounable!!!!
The train transfers 'both' of them had no elevators nor escalators,. We had to drag our luggage up and down a large flight of stairs to get the train, This was untolerable since i have a bad back and my daughter could harldly manipulate the luggage.
Now lets discuss the airlines going home. I had no idea nor choice of traveling choices, the tickets were sent fedex 2 weeks prior to my departure. I had NO idea that the plane was going to germany as a transfer point witha 4 hour 40 min.layover. till we made a connection with the plane to phil.The trip home was about 14 hours i could of went to australia for that duration of time-it was totally riduculous. When i tried to call solar tours and european destinations all i got was a runaround for days and needless to say it was costly making all of these calls from Europe.
This trip was a college graduation gift for my daughter which both of us were anticipating for many months. The trip was a total disappointment which cost me lots of money since i am a single parent and have been saving for this trip for quite some time. I cant fix what happened but it is a memory that my daughter and I will never forget.
I will never book with European Destinations in the future and will be sure to share this negative experience with friends of mine who are avid travelers.

I'm looking into scheduling my flights and hotel with European destinations, I'm confused by this review. I can see the layovers on the flights, so why was that a suprise? Also, have you been to Europe or the Mediterreanean before? Their standards on hotels are not the same as the US, I learned that lesson in Rome. I'll keep reading more, since I'm very interested in using Europedestinations.
