Our family (6 adults) have just returned from a 16 day canadian escorted tour (Canadian Odyessy) which started off in Toronto, transferred to Calgary to tour the National Parks, Lakes, Glaciers, staying in Banff, Emerald Lake, Jasper, Questen, Whistler and Vancouver. During the route we undertook a 2 day Goldleaf Rocky Mountaineer trip and joined in many optional tours (all reasonably priced) and additional activities we booked ourselves, including NHL hockey games. We have truly had the holiday of a lifetime. The tour manager was fantasic - knowledgeable, extremely competent and treated each of us as individuals - ensuring a family member with a medical condition with respect and ensured the necessary facilities were available at each accommodation. The drivers/tour guides who transported us for the entire trip were amazing - they had such a knowledge and passion for Canada. Granted this this not a cheap trip, but one I would thoroughly recommend. I can't wait to book another Thomas Cook escorted tour. This is the second Thomas Cook holiday I have taken this year, the previous a one week package holiday to Croatia - again, very well organised with very efficient holiday rep.
