Accord Mortgage Review

April 2006 started a mortgage with Accord at £1,045 per month. They increased the charge to £1,291 per month.

Imagine my joy when in February 2009 their MD wrote to me telling me at the end of my first 3 years I was going to be paying £804.00 per month if I stayed on with them!!

WRONG!! After receipt of that I got another letter telling me that I would be paying £1,151.42 per month.

I wrote to them asking about the offer from their MD - " A mistake" and that I would in fact be paying £1,151.42.

Because they didn't seem to know what they were charging me (Isn't the MD the man in charge and what he says, goes?) I stopped my Direct Debit expecting them to tell me how to pay and when - other than by DD.

No. 3 months later I got a reminder to pay which I did the same day and now I am on some bad payers blacklist. I have to stay with them for at least another year with an unblemished record because now no other mortgage company will take me on!!

So the MD writes incorrect letters and I am fined £347.00 per month by the company and unable to leave them.

Anyone got any suggestions?
