been with budget for 3 years and never made a claim. today i tried to cancel the policy 6 months into it and have been told not only do i have to pay cancellation fee of £35 i also have to pay the full £131 for the remaining months. i haven't got this amount to pay them as ive just had to buy a new vehicle. i could have carried on paying my £22 a month for another 6 months (would be easier) AND not have to pay cancellation fee, but i can't as i have 11 years no claims which i can't have on 2 cars at the same time. i laughed as the (sarcastic) woman from customer services asked if i wanted a quote for my new vehicle - but she was adamant that they could beat any of insurers. she then quoted me £1,395 for my new vehicle which i then told her that on moneysupermarket.com the first 30 quotes were ALL cheaper than £1,000 the cheap[est being only £470 with Quinn Insurance. ive just cancelled my direct debit with them (gonna tell em in a couple of days) and they can send me the bill instead......and they will get the money when i can afford it!!!
PLEASE DON'T USE THEM.....THEY R USELESS!
P.S. if the lady i just spoke to from customer services is reading this then hahahha.... told u i woz going to spread this all over the internet!!

    hello, ive just cancelled my insurance with budget,(within the 14 days) so i have to pay the cancelation fee of £20 and what they call the cover costs, which in my case works out about 2.15p for each day, so all together its under £45, so they said my money will be refunded after i send back my insurance certificated and that was that, but they never gave me the address to send it to, so i called back and was told i was through to quotes and to hold the line, but im on a mobile and was left waiting for ever, so i finally hung up and now im fuming, on the policy there is no return address either, please someone help, after reading these reviews it sounds like even if i send it to the correct building but the wrong department im going to get stiffed, anyone who has sent back there policy please get in touch, thanks.
