Hastings Insurance Motor Policy.

I recently wrote to them with my policy to cancel it as I had sold my motorcycle (In accordance with their conditions) and having heard nothing for 3 weeks phoned up to be told that they needed to confirm it 'verbally'! I was passed to someone else who said that they had received no letter with my returned certificate. I believed this to be incorrect as I knew I had sent a letter with it, however rather than argue I accepted their agreement to cancel the policy some two weeks after the date I had requested - the date they claimed they received my certificate. I sent it first class on 17th, they claimed to receive it on 30th! One week on and I receive a letter from them asking for my certificate in order to cancel my policy! Aaaargh. Thank goodness I never had to make a claim from them!
