I wll NEVER book a flight thru TRAVEL REPUBLIC again!
I booked flights/hotel to Gran Canaria thru Travel Republic on 21/09.
Due to depart on 12/10 @ 09:30 from Glasgow arrive 14:00 and ret 19/10 @ 14:55 arrive in Glas 19:25. Selected these flights because of good times and paid a premium.
Notified 5/10 of change to flight times as follows:- Dep 12/10 @ 18:55 arrive @ 23:40, Dep 20/10 @ 00:40 aarive @ 05:15.
Apparently due to '12 hour rule' this is considered a 'MINOR CHANGE'. Travel Republic's responses to date have been lamentable, and blame the ticket agency TELETICKET. They have no concept of customer care.
In ten years of booking flights on the web this is my first experience
of being treated like this.

    These are hard to comment on as there is little the travel agency can do when the flight provider changes the times of a flight that is within the terms and conditions accepted at the time the booking was made.

    On this occasion, the flight was booked with ATOL protected operator, Teleticket, using a Thomas Cook airlines flights. Teleticket have a quite common booking condition for operators, that changes less than 12 hours are considered minor and therefore the option to cancel with full refund is not offered.

    This appears to have happened here. In the vast majority of bookings, little or no change to the flight times is made before departure, but unfortunately this flight was subject to a change and it has clearly inconvenienced the customer.

    We, as agents can do little when this happens, especially if the route does not have frequent flights on, and can only apologise on behalf of Teleticket for the inconvenience.
