Riviera Travel.
We have just returned from a visit to California and the Golden West. We were impressed by the whole holiday. This trip covers four states commencing with California and followed by Arizona, Utah and Nevada.
Every hotel we stayed in was a very good standard, better than expected and their locations in Los Angeles and San Francisco were central and ideal. The locations were also good in the smaller towns, but in the the smaller locations it was less important.
Throughout the trip, all baggage handling was included and before the arrival at each hotel, all registration had been organised by the Tour Operator, so that when we arrived we were immediately given the keys/cards to our rooms. Visiting the various National Parks was also well organised and very enjoyable. The coach was new and very comfortable with an onboard toilet. However, there were stops about every 1.5 hours so this facility wasn't used. Passengers in the coach were rotated to allow everyone the opportunity of seats at the front.
The Tour Guide (Chris Pook) was extremely well informed and advised us well in suggesting restaurants and particular points of interest to look out for. He is a huge asset to the Company and made the holiday informative and ensured it flowed well. There were no complaints from any of the passengers as it was so well organised.
It was all so good it is difficult to be negative. However, what would have made it better was if the coach windows did not carry reflections due to the bright sunlight as sometimes it was difficult to see through them and also spoilt some photo opportunities.
