I've been banking with Lloyd's TSB since I started my business 2 years ago. It was a difficult decision to pick a bank for business rather than for personal use as this was the first time I'd done it.
I stuck to the big banks because at the time I thought this would be the safest place to do business and I knew there'd always be a branch nearby if I needed help.
I chose LloydsTSB because they offered a good introductory offer of free banking for a year and they also bundled in some free software for accounting (which I never got round to using!).
I have found customer service to be excellent so far. The online banking is ok, if a little clunky. The only major drawback is that when you add a new payee it takes 3 or 4 days to be 'approved' so it can take an extra week to arrange a payment to a new supplier.
All in all Lloyds have been always delivered and now have the added 'bonus' of being part-owned by the government so they can't go bust and will probably be more open to Business lending.
