I too have had a severe reaction to Piz Buin factor 15 sun lotion. I have been a fan of piz buin for many years and stocked up again this spring but wished I hadn't! After applying the lotion on holiday in Spain in June I developed a rash all over my body, it started as sore red lumps then turned into little red spots, itchy, sore and unsightly. It stopped me sitting in the sun as it was too uncomfortable. I went to my Dr twice and was prescribed hydrocortizone and anti histamine, however neither made any difference. The rash lasted approx 2 weeks after I stopped using the product. I wrote to Johnson & Johnson and have received a questionnaire and told to return the product. However I have been referred by my Dr to a dermotologist to determine what ingredient is causing the allergy and am having skin patch tests. SHe was pretty sure it was the piz buin causing the allergy and nothing else. So, what have they put in the product to cause so many people to have this nasty reaction? My sister has also had an identical reaction which ruined her holiday in Spain. Has anyone managed to get any answers from Johnson & Johnson? Will keep you informed on outcome of skin patch tests.
