I ordered 4 items of nursery furniture from Littlewoods online on 3rd September. All showed as 'in stock, delivery within one week'. I received one item within the week, when I rang Littlewoods to enquire about the other three items, I was told that two would arrive a week later and the fourth, a cotbed, would be about two weeks. This was really inconveniant as I had specifically taken a week off work to decorate and furnish the nursery. The items were eventually delivered but the sleigh cotbed was wrong, the website advertises it as having an oak finish but when it came, it was new country pine (which they don't even sell). I called them to arrange a swap and was told that the price had now gone up £50 and this was the price I would now have to pay! I was told that if I really wasn't happy, once it had arrived I could call back and ask for a refund of £50. The new cotbed came and the old one taken away. When I opened the new box, it too was pine! I called Littlewoods again and was asked if I wanted to try again. I (not so politely) declined, said I wanted them to take the second cotbed away, give me back my money and close me account. They said I would be refunded for both cotbeds when 14-21 days after they had received both cotbeds. I said that I needed the money immediately so that I could order a new cotbed from somewhere else, they eventually agreed that I would be refunded as soon as they receive both cotbeds. This would be great but they were supposed to pick the second one up on Friday of last week but they never came for it! When I rang Littlewoods they said they were sorry (again!) and rearranged it for today. The courier pushed a note through our door saying they had tried at 8.15am but we weren't in and they'd call back another day! This is strange as we got there at 8.05 ourselves and were waiting for him! I just called Littlewoods who said that it wasn't anything to do with them and to take up my complaint with the courier direct! Please please please, do not order anything from this company, it has caused me nothing but stress and at 8 months pregnant really is the last thing I need!
