I arranged the sale of my phone to Mazuma Mobile. All seemed fairly efficient. I posted the phone in their pre-paid envelope and got proof of postage from the post office.
Four days later (on a Friday at 5.15pm) I receive a confusing email from Mazuma reporting a problem: 5300 not received missing. When I try to ring customer services for clarity, I get a message saying the offices are closed until Monday.
When I do get to speak to customer services, it turns out the envelope has arrived without the phone inside. Mazuma claim there is absolutely no evidence of tampering and I am therefore not eligible for compensation.
I have been left with no choice but to seek compensation directly from the post office.
This seems like a major flaw in Mazuma Mobile's business plan? Surely if phones are going to be stolen during the transaction and they are not going to admit any liability, it leaves us customers vunerable?
