absolutely appalled by arnold clark! Bought a mondeo estate about a year and a half ago, along with service plan. Was told when we bought the car that it had 1 previous owner (salesman forgot to mention that it was a fleet car! On it's first service I waited for the car with a book, right beside reception, only to be phoned (after around 5 hours!) by my partner at home to tell me they had just phoned to tell him the car was ready!! (their reason.....the piece of paper which said I was waiting was covered up by another piece!!) They found a significant repair required to suspension (at a cost of about £140.... for a car we'd had about 6 months and was only 18mnths old!!!)on collecting the car it was covered in oily handprints!!! With it being due its 1st service we were offered the "early bird" deal, we booked it in and asked for the service to be carried out at tne same time. A week later got a call to ask if we would like the service done at the same time as the mot!! I picked my car up with a brand new mot, having had its major sevice and 2 days later was informed by a taxi driver that I had NO reversing lights (my car has 2!) and a brake light out!! I phoned arnold clark, spoke to a very defensive managerand arranged for my car to go in 1st thing the next day...was told it was not bulbs but reversing switch and brake bulb...would taker longer "did I want to take my car and bring it back another day"......With NO reversing lights and a brake light out!!!!!!!!!! Have small satisfaction that they will NOT have our bussines or money again!!!
