Alliance and Leicester Commercial Bank's Online banking is a disaster - over complex, several payments can be grouped into one transaction on the statement, leaving you to search out the individual transactions and work out which ones have been lumped together. The only way to have a running bank balance is to have daily online statements, which you can't just view on screen, they have to be viewed as PDF's wasting even more time. You can't see a running balance over a period of time unless you select weekly or monthly online statements, but you can't see much about that week or month until its at its end and the statement appears. Worst of all the bank has been in Santander's possession for over a year and they have done nothing. Support admit that the system is a mess but say that Santander know this but aren't expected to sort it out for another 18 months. Two and half years to sort out something which is an insult to their customers is insultingly long. Santander obviously have a way of making money out of banks or they couldn't have made so many aquisitions, but customer service clearly isn't part of their agenda.
