Have just returned from longleat forest and this is the second time we have visited, 1st with an 10 month son and second when 2 years old and our new 7 month son. Upon arrival found 2 lights broken and wet floor in our smelly toilet presumed to be freshly wash.the smell of urine was evident and we immediately requested an upgrade to no avail. We waited for 4 days before complaining to guest sevices, demanding to see the manager a.s.a.p.
By this time we found the toilet hand basin leaking (explaining the wet floor),dust,mould and cob webs,dishwasher with exposed internal parts,kitchen cupboards dirty with front veneer peeling off,Exposed electrical supplies @ 415Volts, lights hanging off patio area with left overs from previous visitors, baby high chair with mouldy food on... I could go on! The food over priced and of poor quality.Speaking to othe guests found similar problems, maintenance issues throughout park including swimming pool facility (with doors broken/missing on cubicles for over a week) and am feeling exhausted, skint and without a hoilday. I even requested the gas safety cetificate the make sure the smell in the boiler room wasn't through faulty appliances. will not be returning ever to risk my childrens health and safety! Families be worned and vigilante.
