I have received a phonecall at my work from UNICOM & told them that my boss is on leave & that I cannot give permission for the line to be transfered. Next thing a contract arrived saying that the line will be taken over from BT on a certain date. I have phoned them immidiately to cancel this as it was never agreed in the first place. I am not even the account holder. And then they have the odasity to put my name up as the account holder. In other words if the tea lady has answered the phone, they would have put it in her name.....I mean just because you've answered the phone. I've phone BT and given instructions NOT TO transfer the line, but regardless, the line was taken over by UNICOM. When BT tried to order the line back, it was blocked. The same thing happened to our house line, even though we phoned SKY and got their assurance that it will NOT be transfered without our permission, yet it was done. If you try to reverse the deal, they just block the orders and when approaching them about it, they deny it. How is it that they can get away with this illigal practise for so long? I have phoned OFFCOM, and if they cannot help me, I'll have to try to see if the OMBUDSMAN can do something. Somehow, someone must stop this kind of exploiting.
