I've been with Orange Broadband for about 3 years and all was fine until they emailed me to say there was going to be some work carried out on the local exchange which would result in me having a faster connection.

The work was done and all was well for a couple of weeks, since which time the connection has been far slower than prior to the work. I was getting a download speed of approximately 1.5 meg. Now it's only about 500 - 600k! Additionally there are times when everything grinds to a halt and it's simply not possible to browse or send emails. To add insult to injury, Orange upped the cost of the package!!

So far their "Customer Service" is concerned I have not one good word to say about it. I've been waiting for them to call me for near on a month now and send regular reminder emails which go ignored. The first time they called me I was put on hold for 20 minutes because I needed to talk to a Mac engineer (I insisted that it was not a Mac problem but a connection problem - I have tried the connection on 2 macs and a pc and the pitiful performance is the same across all three) and when I was transfered I got the dreaded - "I'm transferring you now ..... click ..... bzzzzzzzz. Great!!!

I don't think Orange know the meaning of the word "communication" which is somewhat ironic, as that is supposed to be the business they are in. Or is it just symptomatic of todays large corporations who don't give a damn about their customers??
