The service received from Dreams Beds was terrible! My father placed an order on 26th July and was told it would be 2 weeks to delivery, somewhat disappointing due to the advertised "next day delivery" constantly on our television and in papers, however, he paid in full and waited for a delivery date. On 3rd August he received a letter saying there were unforeseen delays and he would have to wait another 3-4 weeks. As my parents bed was broken they were now sleeping on a mattress on the floor and in their late seventies this was far from ideal and very uncomfortable. Again dad waited and was then given a delivery date of 16th September but on 15th September had a phone call to say the Chloe Double Bedstead had still not been received from the manufacturer and was no longer available, "perhaps he would like to choose an alternative." Dreams had had the payment for 8 weeks, what a disgusting way to carry on. Dad went back to the Eastbourne branch where he had paid for the Bedstead to ask for a refund but was told that no refund was available, the shop said it did not have facilities to issue refunds only take money. He asked them to contact customer services but was told there was no line to customer services at the store, he would have to ring when he got home. What a way to be treated when you have paid good money upfront for something you were never going to receive! Dad received a refund in the end but no satisfaction about why the service is so poor and no compensation for the stress, discomfort and complete dissatisfaction.
