After TAP Portugal's Pilot Strike over 24th & 25th September (of which passengers were not informed even though it was planned), TAP's treatment of it's customers was absolutely appalling. We were shipped off to an absolutely awful hotel with dirty rooms, faulty locks on the doors and unappetizing food. TAP made no attempt to contact us to let us know what was happening and did not answer any of our phonecalls. We only managed to get home (2 days later than planned) by getting ourselves back to the airport and enlisting the help of a unique GroundForce Airport Customer Service Worker who took pity on the fifty or so passengers at our hotel - even this involved frequent trips to the airport, much stress, being given misinformation and little respect and being threatened by the police for trying to queue to be put on a waiting list in order to get home. As a result of the delay we spent 48 hours of discomfort and stress and in addition missed my mother-in-law's birthday and our dear friends' wedding. Thanks TAP
