Flew Virgin Atlantic Airways from Newark to London and I can honestly say this was the worst international airline I've ever flown on. It is even worse than many cut-price domestic carriers. The apathy of the cabin crew was insulting, the food was atrocious, entertainment non-existent and the seats were cramped and dated.

Our flight was delays for 90 minutes apparently due to the "paperwork" not being in order. The cabin crew failed to think of handing out headsets until after we were in the air - meaning that the entertainment systems couldn't be used during the hour and a half on the ground. The entertainment system broke 10 minutes after we got the headsets, so they played "17 Again" (poor movie choice) through the seat-back TVs. The film couldn't be stopped or turned off or dimmed and kept playing until well after 1am. Food was substandard: the chicken had laughable grill lines painted on it and the salad was missing ingredients. There were only four ingredients - I have no idea how they managed to miss one. The so called "breakfast" was a choice between a muffin or a muesli bar. Finally we had a massive wait at the end of the flight because Virgin were to cheap to pay for a gate and we were shipped by bus to the terminal.
