Just returned from a 4 night stay with the wife and our 3yr old son.
The good points:
Nice clean caravan(booked a riviera), with good heating, good working facilities (shower,microwave,toaster,tv with built in dvd player,a seperate cd player,fridge and fridge freezer). Everything worked as it should.
Nice playground for the younger kids to play in.
3yr old son loved the evening entertainment with the parks characters and dancing time.
Staff very friendly.
If your planning any trips in local area then ask at reception for discount vouchers. we had 12% discount voucher for woodlands theme park, but you gotta ask for it!
Not so good points:
Site is VERY HILLY! Im a pretty fit 35yr old and even i was struggling pushing my sons pushchair up the hills!
Pool was very disappointing.Water was cold.Childrens pool was grotty and had missing tiles and some dodgy re-grouting repairs.One plus though,the 2 lifeguards there were friendly and didnt take their eyes off the pools.
Not a great choice of where too eat.You either ate at the Patio Bar or the takeway kiosk inside the entertainment area.Both are ok.nothing fantastic.
If you are staying here without a car then your gonna struggle.site is a bit out of the way.Too far too walk to Torquay town or the beach.and coz the site is down a lane,theres no buses from the site, so you would have to walk up the lane and up the hill to the end of the lane to catch a bus, a good 10 minute walk uphill i should imagine.Not ideal if you have a few kids or elderly people in your party.
We found the Parkdean site ok,nothing special but pretty clean and friendly. A decent base for you to travel to surrounding areas.Paigton zoo is fab.Woodlands Leisure Park is great day out also.Sum lovely beaches around too.
