I was without my mobile for a week I called orange numberous times - never spoke to the same person twice. Three times they wrongly identified the problem as the sim being old and needing replacing. Eventually they said my phone had been blocked. Orange couldn't / wouldn't tell me Why or by whom and one service operator even hung up on me! After a frustrating few days I decided to phone various other networks to see if i could find out who had blocked the phone. I phoned O2 first and they said they would look it up and even if it wasn't them they could tell me who had blocked the phone. as it happenens it was O2. The unique number attached to my phone was apparently owned by someone else. After faxing them proof of purchase and id number they unblocked my phone. No thanks to Orange who couldn't have been less helpful. Overseas call centre is a nightmare, they seem to be able to read from a script only. I've been with orange for over a decade but I'm leaving orange for a company with a UK call centre and better manners.
