I have been with the Royal Bank of Scotland for 7 years. I was made redundant a few months back and had struggled for a few months to pay all my out goings but we are talking no more than £20. Numerous times I rang the branch to arrange to speak to someone in order not to rack up charges etc. I got no help and the customer service was appauling. I ended up paying £98.50 for every standing order that wasn't even paid by them even though I had rang to cancel them on numerous occasions. When I rang to speak to someone about the charges they were very unhelpful and couldn't explain properly what the charges are for. All I know is that my CHARGES money will go towards keeping the big suited boys in massive depth & the bank bosses bonuses flowing in. I am now in the process of changing my bank, bad mistake on RBS part, since I am successful young professional that in future will be very wealthy.
