    Wonga is a company that prays on the desperate. Do not be fooled by its attempts to justify such a high APR. The fact all payday loan companies share high APR is irrelevant. They make out the concept of an APR is misleading, when really it offers more insight into the problem with credit (which is compound interest) in the first place.

    High administrative fees (at least £18.50) may be charged in non-payment or loan extension, and frankly their annoying nicer than nice attitude, such as "otherwise an administrative fee may be charged, and thats the last thing we want to happen" actually made me split my sides.

    At least some companies just act blood suckers they really are, this one probably convinces the nicest of people they're their best friend, and well worth coming back to.

    They're an irresponsible lender, I dont have a job and they made no checks into this, and their guarentee is almost worthless, they try to wriggle out of it any way they can even though the money was not by any means in by an hours time, which really affected how worthwhile the loan was to me.

    Never judge a book by its front cover, and never judge a 2689% APR Loan Shark by a homepage with animated daisys and baby blue backgrounds.

    I was desperate, I admit, but not anymore. If you're thinking of borrowing from this or any other payday loan company, wake up, forget it.
    There must be some other way you can get the money, and if there isnt, then maybe you have a problem and these people aren't the answer.

    Calls to their helpdesk are charged at 10p a minute, even more on mobiles. So you're going to have to pay to sort out anything along the way, like I had to pay to have a ten minute argument with a customer rep about proving the funds were an hour late.
    This of course is based on information they have, and that they have the ability to manipulate (like when I actually applied for the loan, the recordings of the phonecall when their rep apologised for it being late etc) and choose to disclose or not.

    Terrible company, terrible industry, terrible idea.
    Stay well away, please, really, do. Well clear.
