Outrageous overpricing. We hired through Thomas Cook in the UK and thought the hire was "all done and dusted". Not So !!!!. On our arrival in Portugal we paid excessive insurance payments in addition to another hire charge. We have complainmed to Thomas Cook and written letters to both parties but THEY have not had the decency to even reply with an acknowedgement. To date I would not recomend hiring in the UK as we did. Other companies charge much less at the point of use, ie say at the airport. WE feel "ripped off" and will not make the same mistake again. We should have been given the full details before the hire, instead of adding them later when customers are up a cul-de-sac.
