The worst insurance company i have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. After paying for fully comp insurance for 5 plus years someone crashed into the side of my car. I thought no problem I'm insured etc. I called direct line to make them aware of the accident and after about half an hour on the phone expected everything to be ok. The car has been repaired after I paid the excess but a year on I'm still waiting for it back. I took time out from work (three hours) to meet with an accident surveyor they sent and the communication between the company and myself has been appalling. They have backed down to the other parties insurance company and now say I am 40% to blame for the accident which I can't understand. They would not let me cancel the policy without paying the rest of the year and needless to say I have done that now and am with a company who will protect my no claims which direct line couldn't guarantee for a damn sight cheaper and far better service. All I can say is I feel robbed and dealing with them is like banging your head against a wall.
