I purchased this Yamaha YBR125 mainly to save money on fuel, and to offset depreciation on my car. I have never taken a full bike test, and my motorcycling experience is limited to 125cc. I love this little bike! I had hoped to get 80/90 mpg. The simple fact is, I am returning something in the order of 140mpg! Eight quids worth (just below 2 gallons for the pitifully non-metricated) of fuel gets me 220 miles. This has been the case across five tankfuls,so I am not telling porkies! My average speed tends towards 45mph, with occasional bursts up to 50+. I didnt buy the bike for speed. I have ridden the bike over 180miles in a day...no problem except for a slightly numbed behind! For anyone looking to have fun and save significant cash oh fuel, I would say go for it!
