GE Capitals call steering system cuts you off and the call is expensive. Also sometimes the system flags are poor. I accessed GE by phone to gain my balance which was 18.71, however it did take me 3 go's. I wrote down the figure and paid early only to find that the figure was wrong and I owed 7 pence ??? I rang the call centre and spoke to an eastern european lady who undersood my concern and said she would delete the 7 p as it was clearly and error unequivacly. I then received a statement charging me interest my 7 pence now over 30 pence. I contacted GE and the lady at the end of the line was condescending and not interested at all, she says she will remove the interest.......who knows ?-time to close the card and write to Debenhams copying GE-in.
