I opened an E-Saver account on 14 October last year advertised at 4% + 2.10 % bonus fixed for 12 months and made my first substantial deposit on 4 November . The rate rapidly tumbled, of course, till it was only .5% +2.10% bonus. The bonus is only paid at the end of the month following the first month in which interest was due so I only got the first bonus at the end of December 2008. I have queried with both my branch and On-Line banking when the 12 months Fixed expires. My branch couldn't say and on-line they are saying 13 October 2009 which is clearly only 11 months not 12. The branch and the Natwest on-line service work like separate services and together are the poorest I have ever used.
