I regularly shop at the Tesco Heanor branch spending approx.£400 per month . On friday the 11th sept i did my shopping and spent £157.86.when doing my bill the checkout lady made one mistake which she rectified . When i got home i decided to check the bill and found 4 more errors where i had been charged twice.i went back to the store and as there was no one at the customer service desk the lady at the tobacco counter asked me to go to her ,i explained that it was a complaint but she said that she could deal with it. i showed my bill with the errors and she refunded the monies all but one for frozen sausages that i left in my freezer. She then asked me if there was anything else and i said an apology would be nice, to which she replied "it was not my fault so i do not need to apologise". I then said that i knew it was not her fault but an apology on behalf of Tesco and her colleagues would be good. Because of her attitude i asked for the manager and explained the situation to him. He did apologise and refunded the money for the sausages but made the comment "mistakes happen" yes they do but 5 in one bill. I then informed him that i would shop elsewhere in future.. Maybe the mistakes were made because the lady who helped pack half of my groceries never stopped talking to the checkout lady and possibly distracted her . Moral of story packing ladies please pack .
