We have just returned from Centre Parcs in Longleat and have to say that we are extremely disappointed with the accomodation. We booked a basic 3 bedroom villa for myself, my husband and nine month old daughter.
The villa was very dirty upon arrival. There were dog hairs all over the villa, everthing was sticky to touch (I assume due to grease) and the window sills looked like they had never been cleaned. There were cobwebs and dust everywhere. The bathroom smelled very badly of mould, as did the two bedrooms either side of the bathroom. The main double bedroom had a black damp patch on the wall. Unfortunately I am allergic to mould so we all had to sleep in the one bedroom that was unaffected. Although guest services arranged for the villa to be cleaned after our arrival it took them 2 days to clean it properly. Even then, there were still dog hairs all over the carpet. They were unable to, or unwilling to, move us despite the mould making me ill. The villa decor reminds me of a Travelodge 10 years ago, and would say that the accomodation is at least 10 years past its best.
The restaurants and activities are expensive, but we expected that so took our own food with us.
There was little in the way of entertainment for our 9 month old daughter. We managed to find only 2 swings suitable for a baby of her age. Highchairs seemed to be in short supply in some of the restaurants that we did visit at lunchtime. In addition the accomodation was not particularly child friendly, with TV and radio at a low level - just perfect for little hands to pull over. In addition, the fire guard was not robust enough so we could not light the fire, and had to watch our daughter constantly to make sure she wasn't putting her hands in the fireplace (which was filled with ash from the previous residents).
Overall I would say it is a complete disappointment and I would not recommend to anyone, especially those with young babies.

Centre Parcs say that is was due to refurbishment, I beleive it was due to labour costs at this quiet time of the year. Albeit still great choice in the eating department.
