THOMAS (WE WILL RIP YOU OFF) COOK
My wife and I have just returned from a 2 week holiday in Corfu. When we booked our holiday we elected to pay the surcharge to have an extra 5 Kgs of luggage capacity to safeguard against paying for excess baggage on our return. When we arrived at the airport to come home to my surprise the lady at the check in desk asked for my suitcase and my flight bag to be put on the scales together and informed me I was 7 Kgs overweight and that I had to pay an excess charge of 12 euros per kilogramme that the baggage was overweight which amounted to 84 euros, I and my wife were totally staggered as we took hand held scales with us to make sure this did not happen. I and several other passengers on the plane that we spoke to would never travel Thomas Cook ever again. What is crazy you can go through to Duty Free, buy as much as you want and not have the weight of the goods purchased in Duty Free taken into account. or charged for. BEWARE (DICK TURPIN) Better known as Thomas Cook.
