First of all we could not find the entrance prices for Vergel Safari Park either on the homepage of the Safari Park or on their leaflets. We managed to find out the prices in a travel agency. We paid 17 Euros per adult, the kids under four years old were free. We started the tour in the car through the otrich, tiger and lion enclosure. It was very interesting to see these animals so close. But you are not allowed to stop for the tigers or lions. As we had to keep on driving the tour was finished in about 10 minutes. After that you reach the second part of the park. You can park you car there and walk through. There is a little petting zoo with goats, donkeys, little pigs and other animals. But everything looked run down. A lot of the animals enclosures are just too small, and some of the animals did not look healthy. After we saw the second part we drove to the last part. There is a restaurant, a big pond, playground and the sea lions area. But again, everything was very dirty and run down. The equipment on the kids playground is old and rusty. The staff in the restaurant weren't bothered about anything either. Rubbish everywhere and no service. Even though the park was not busy at all. (Mid September). There is a little train that goes round the pond. But you have to pay extra for that. Two Euros per Adult/Child (2 years). The tript takes only about 3 minutes. There are extra costs for pony riding and the trampolins too. We had the sealion show included in our ticket. But the next show would have been in three hours so we did not bother. So all together we have been very disappointed as in the leaflets everything looked so lovely. But it is not. For 17 Euros just entrance fee we have expected a lot more. So i absolutly can not recommend this park. It is not worth the money. I am sorry for all the animals in there. There are many other parks in this area with better standards and a better day out for your children.
