I chose Avis who were more expensive than some others because the website said I could choose the make of car but when we arrived we were given something different which was smaller and not diesel. THe car had a lot of scrapes and damage but when we tried to get the assistant to note these she said she wouldn't as it only counted if she could see them from 6 feet!( i just hoped that her eyesight would be as poor when we returned the car a week later so I took my own photos) When we tried to extend the hire by one day they wanted to charge at 3 times the daily rate and said this was head office policy although their head office later denied this. Would I use them again? Probably not as I can't see what they offer that the cheaper car hire companies don't.
