Bought one of these Ryobi RHT 2660 earlier in the year and it did very well when it ran, although it did cut out a lot. This week, it finally packed up and would not start at all, with the start mechanism being very hard to pull. The seller did give me back my money and I bought a replacement that arrived today. It worked well for about 2 hours at most before it too stopped and would not restart. There seems to be a bit of a common problem here and certainly was not the fuel that was good quality and properly mixed. I rang Ryobi but they were of no use and could offer no help other than recommending that I return the item to the seller, which I am now doing.
My assessment, therefore, is that if you can get one of these that keeps working it is a good machine with a long reach, good diameter of cut and useful features such as the multi-position handle: hence the 2 starts rather than one. However, reliability appears to be rubish and the after-sales service from Ryobi is non-existent. I will now be getting my money back and buying something of quality.
