Okay, first off, AVOID INTER-EUROPEAN FLIGHTS PERIOD!!! INTERNATIONAL FROM/TO USA IS GREAT!! people rant on about bad reviews of this airline. I understand the industry being I am a pilot myself. There is no personal video screens on this flight, which is fine for me. Did you know that personal video screens add 5 miles of extra wiring that can arc and cause an in-flight fire? Some of the wire can't be inspected in routine maintenance checks. SO STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT NO PVT (personal video screens) bring a book or music with you, which they do have on board with headsets and inflight movies on big screens, it works for me :) The blankets they give our are the BEST I have EVER seen, twice as big as US airline blankets and better material (wool, instead of polyester/cotton). Flight was 1 hour late out of ORD, which is understandable. Delays can happen since there is bad weather and such. The plane comes in from MAD and right away turns around going back to MAD. As far as any baggage delay, I had none. Baggage arrived safe and sound with me. As for them being lost or delayed NOT IBERIA AIRLINES FAULT!! This is due to the airport baggage system, which can be jammed or not working. As far as check in it went smooth, very pleasant staff and cheerful at ORD. I had the pleasure of having all 3 of the attendants help me with various things (since I went back to the check in counter for the number of people working). I wanted to see if what people say about employees are true on here. NOT WHATSOEVER!! As far as the flight attendants, I can tell they are overworked and stressed, as long as you are not a NEEDY passenger (such as demanding) I can see you having a wonderful experience with them. However, if you have a child who likes to press the call button the purser (head flight attendant) will yell at you for your child being wild, I do find this very unprofessional. I had worse experience's with flight attendants on Northwest Airlines (international) routes.
The food was quite fulfilling, too bad I couldn't have seconds. The seats are a little broken a few of them here and there and could use some fixing, but once again, it is normal wear and tear and just try and pick up and find a new seat. Not that hard to do. I switched seats twice during a HIGH TRAVEL SEASON, and got 2 seats to myself by the window and in the middle. Take things in stride and if delays happen, go with it. They will help you out and get you where you are going, as long as you don't yell and make a fuss. Be POLITE!!
Overall I give this airline a higher rating than I do MOST american airlines for ocean crossing. So all I have to say is "welcome aboard and enjoy your flight.."
